Reading the map

Each pin marks the approximate location of a story or incident submitted to Stronger in the Light. The three pin colors correspond to the type of entry:

Searching and filtering

Use the search bar to jump to any U.S. city or ZIP code. Use the age filter to show only stories where abuse began within a specific age range — useful for understanding patterns by life stage.

Location privacy

All pin locations are intentionally approximate. Every submitted location is shifted by a random offset within the reported region so that no marker ever reflects an exact address. This protects both survivors and the people they write about.
